Jacqueline L. MANNING Waters 1942 - 2014 SHS 1960

Jacqueline L. Waters passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home with her family after a 6 month battle with cancer.

She was born on September 26, 1942 in Sheridan to Otto A. and Jewel D. (Reynolds) Manning at the Reynold's home. Jackies grandmother, Lula Reynolds, was the midwife and owned the Reynolds' Home.

Jackie married Kenneth L. McHenry in September of 1961 and they had two children, Heather and Kenny. They later divorced and she married B. Bradford Waters in 1976. Brad and Jackie remodeled and built onto an old home in the country where they lived until her death.

She enjoyed landscaping and gardening. She loved to paint and quilt with her good friends. Threaders Tuesday was an important day of the week for Jackie and later her Wednesday Quilting day became the highlight of her week. She left many beautiful quilts for her grandchildren to share.

In her early years she helped her parents build a cabin in the Big Horns and always felt at peace there. She loved her week long annual quilting at the cabin with her daughter. She was also a regular fixture at auctions and loved nothing better than to spent a weekend bidding on antiques.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Brad Waters, daughter, Heather Mortensen of Sheridan, son, Kenneth R. McHenry of Austin, TX, stepchildren, Dr. Bradford Waters of Memphis, TN and Leslie Waters of Ellicott City, MD. Her grandchildren are Clint, Blake and Davyd Mortensen, Shaun, Kristin and Cameron McHenry and Frank Tisano and Lance and Nathan Waters. She also loved her only great grandson, Cameron Mortensen.

As per her request, there will be a private family gathering later this Spring.
