Former Sheridan resident Jack M. Kekich, 65, of Glendale, Ariz., died April 3, 2007, in Glendale, according to his family.

A memorial service, followed by cremation, took place Saturday. In accordance with his desire, his ashes will be scattered in the Big Horn Mountains this summer with a memorial service to be announced later.

Mr. Kekich was born Nov. 7, 1941 to Jack and Margaret Pearl (Gunnels) Kekich.

He attended schools in Sheridan and was a 1960 graduate of Sheridan High School.

After moving away, he returned to live in Sheridan from the mid-1980s until around 1997 or 1998, when he moved to Arizona, according to family.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy O'Neil; a son, Kevin of Casper; a daughter, Kelli Renken of Sykesville, Md.; two brothers, John and R.G.; two sisters, Eileen Holland and Betty Turk; and five grandchildren.
