OBITUARIES - THE SHERIDAN PRESS - April 26, 2001

Robert Lee "Bob" Diefenderfer, 58, of Sheridan died of leukemia Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Center in Billings.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Sheridan Wesleyan Church. Arrangements are with Cremation or Funeral Gallery of Billings.

Mr. Diefenderfer was born May 5, 1942, to Robert Diefenderfer Jr. and Elberta Beryl Meyers Diefenderfer. His parents divorced, and his father later married Maxine Mural McAlister.

Mr. Diefenderfer grew up in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School. He studied business at Arizona State University.

He married Mary Lou McMullen, and they settled in Detroit where he had a 17-year career with Massey Ferguson.

He returned to Sheridan in 1992 after suffering a stroke.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Jr. of Sinclair Shores, Mich., and Todd of Cordova, Tenn.; his father of Sheridan; two sisters, Sandy Koltiska and Kim Shackelford, both of Sheridan; six brothers, Dan of Sheridan, Bruce of South Dakota, Mike of Colorado, Steve of Laurel, Mont., Tracy of Billings and Tyler of Buffalo; and one grandson.
