Joy Karen Weaver Sayer Foldenauer, age 70, of Sheridan, Wyoming, passed away on December 17, 2011 at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Joy was born in Sheridan on April 3, 1941, to Harvey F. and Susie K. Weaver. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1959, married Carl Sayer, and gave life to three sons - Clifford, Richard and Brett Sayer.

During her lifetime, Joy married a few good men and in August of 2001 she found the love of her life in Lyle Smith. Joy was a caring and proud mother and grandmother. She enjoyed dressing up and going out with the Red Hat girls, playing with her dogs, scrapbooking with friends, puzzles, reading, needlepoint, anything to do with Elvis Presley (she had to be his biggest fan), the WYO Rodeo and parade, and being the life of any party. For 34 years, Joy enjoyed working at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital where she was a cheerful voice answering our calls and admitted many of Sheridan's great residents into the hospital. Joy brought many smiles to a lot of faces with her joyful personality and her colorful outfits - she loved her BLING!!

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Clark (Dusty) Weaver and Jack Weaver of Sheridan, Ace Weaver and Curly Weaver of Riverside, California, and a son Richard Sayer.

She is survived by her soul mate Lyle Smith, her sons and their wives, Clifford and Lisa Sayer, Brett and Annetta Sayer, a very special sister-in-law Debra Weaver, a very special niece Becky Bogart, grandchildren Amanda Moore, Vanessa Curtis, Jay Young, Natasha Sharp, Jeffrey Morgan, Joel and Rachel Sayer, and many special great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of Sheridan.
