SHERIDAN - Services for Donna "Maria" Matteson, 56, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Goodwin officiating.

Mrs. Matteson died Sept 23, 1997, at her residence in Sheridan.

She was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Sheridan, the daughter of Robert and Ann Canoy. Her mother married Anton George Sikora in 1945, and he adopted and raised her. She was educated in Sheridan, attended Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming and received a bachelor of arts degree in social work from the University of Nebraska in 1966.

She was a social worker for the state of Wyoming and spent the remainder of her years caring for her children.

She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and watching movies.

She was preceded in death by her father and maternal grandmother, Mary Potoski.

Survivors include her two children, William "Bill" Kay Matteson and Molly Marie Matteson, both of Sheridan; her mother of Sheridan; and two sisters, Toni Ankney and Debra Pruss, both of Sheridan.

Memorials may be designated to Her Children's College Education Fund, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan 82801.
