Jimmy LOUIE 1940 - 2011 SHS 1959

Jimmy Louie, 71, of Sheridan passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Sheridan Manor.

Jimmy was born on August 16, 1940 in Sheridan, WY to parents James and Frances (Kosine) Louie. He attended Sheridan Schools and graduated in 1959. He attended and graduated from Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming before joining the U.S. Army and serving in Korea three years with a Honorable Discharge.

After the service he returned home where he worked for the CB&Q Railroad for thirty two years. He also owned several businesses; apartment houses, carwash, and candy machines.

After his retirement he moved to Mesa, AZ for a few years before returning to Sheridan.

Jimmy was known for his caring, kind and loving ways, a person that helped everyone in need. He enjoyed collecting antique cars and was a member of the BLE&T and Holy Name Catholic Church.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Frances Turner of Oklahoma City, OK.

He is survived by his brothers; Andy (Cora) Louie of Mesa, AZ, Emmett (Cathy) Louie of Henderson, NV, sisters; Josephine Boyko of Sheridan, WY, Julia Boyko of Worland, WY, Mary Ann (Dennis) Pensis of Lusk, WY and Roselind (Kenneth) Grams of Sheridan, WY. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation for Jimmy will be at 6:00 pm and Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Kane Funeral Home with Fr. Ron Stolcis officiating. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the service.
