Jean KIMBLE Epley 1941 - 2015 SHS 1959

Sunday, September 6th, we lost our sister. Jean Kimble Epley was 74 and lived in Phoenix, AZ.

She was born in Sheridan, Wyoming to George and Leola Kimble. After high school, Jean moved to Billings, MT, attended beauty college and worked as a beautician with friend Marion Meyers for many years.

Jean met her husband, John W. "Jack" Epley in Billings. Jack and Jean enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, singing, their pets and living life. Eventually, they moved to Pittsburgh and later Phoenix where Jean worked for Nautilus Insurance for 23 years before retiring.

Jean loved to travel. She and Jack visited places like Australia and Ireland and much of the United States. Switzerland, Alaska, Canada were also places where Jean explored. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains and always having lots of laughter with family and friends.

Jean enjoyed her retirement years volunteering at the hospital, theaters, and the musical museum.

Jean is preceded in death by her soul mate and husband of 32 years, her parents, and brother Stewart "Stew" Kimble.

She is survived by siblings Beth Kimble, Tom Kimble, Ann Slaybaugh, Laura Ackermann, and Mary Jo Kimble. Also surviving are stepsons Michael Epley, James Epley, Kelly Epley, grandchildren Jacob and Megan Epley along with many nieces and nephews.

Jean's passing comes with a precious gift – a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Instead of mourning Jean's passing, celebrate her life by making a donation to a local animal shelter or spending a little extra time hugging and loving your own pets. If Jean could have planned her exit, she would have left us singing.
