William Hiler HULL Jr. 1940 - 2016 SHS 1959

William Hiler Hull Jr., 76, of Belgrade, passed away May 28th at his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas, born to William “Hiler” Hull Sr. and Wilma A. (Canfield) Hensley. Bill graduated from high school in Sheridan, Wyoming, and attended college at the University of Great Falls. He later enlisted in the U.S. Air force in December of 1959 where he specialized in electronic guidance. He was honorably discharged 1963.

Bill later became a police officer in Roundup, Montana; later becoming a Captain of the Lewistown, Montana, Police Department. Later he was the Chief of Police in Scobey, Montana, and then moved to Bozeman to become a Fire Arm Instructor at the Law Enforcement Academy.

Bill was active in Rotary club in Lewistown. He enjoyed fishing with his family, panning for gold creating displays of memorabilia, tinkering and inventing things in his garage. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the many lives that he touched.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Joni Fenske.

He left behind his loving wife of 30 years, Rebecca Hull of Belgrade; his daughters: Julie (Doug) Ross of Madison, Alabama; Jill (Jerry) Brunt of Bozeman; Janet (Mike) Hull of De Encino Adkins, Texas; Regina (Ben) Kane of Belgrade; his brother Robert (Patricia) Hull of Billings; sister-in-law Kathy (Bill) Warden of Bozeman, Montana, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
