Donald George BARTLETT 1941 - 2014 SHS 1959

Funeral services for George Bartlett, long time Buffalo resident who passed away Monday afternoon at Sheridan Manor, will be held Saturday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m. from the Buffalo Wesleyan Church in Buffalo with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. A private family interment will be held in Willow Grove Cemetery. Donations in Mr. Bartlett's memory may be made to the Bread of Life Food Pantry.

Donald George Bartlett was born on July 25, 1941 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Clinton and Alma Bartlett. He grew up and went to school in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School with the class of 1959 .

After high school he finished his carpenter's apprenticeship and went right into building. He worked for Petro Construction, Fletcher Construction and also Fry Construction for many years.

He was married in 1960 in Sheridan to Melody Ferry and they made their home in Sheridan. That marriage ended in divorce in 1969, and in 1974 he was married to Nancy Shire and they made their home in Sheridan. In 1975 they moved to Buffalo where George started Bartlett Construction which he owned and operated until he retired in 2012. George continued living in Buffalo until his death.

He was a member of the Wesleyan Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie # 186 in Sheridan.

George's passion was building cabinets and he loved working in his garden and yard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the mountains and he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of Buffalo; one son George Bartlett of Georgia; four daughters, Kristene Seals and her husband Donnie of Big Horn, Korina Bartlett and her significant other Bob Bartley of Buffalo, Maggie Hokanson of Buffalo and Kim Staatz and her husband James also of Buffalo; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents two sisters, three brothers one infant son and two infant daughters.
