SHERIDAN - Memorial services will be held at a later date for Sheridan resident Larry E. Tibbets, 61, who died Oct. 5, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.  Cremation has taken place.

He was born March 4, 1940, the son of Ancil and Lois (Barnes) Tibbets.  He completed high school in Sheridan and served in the U.S. Army.

Following his discharge, he returned to Sheridan and worked for many years as a laborer at Decker, Mont. Coal Mine, retiring in 1987.

Survivors include three daughters, Robin Brown and her husband of Estes Park, Colo., Terri Tibbets of Billings, Mont., and Randi Tibbets-Connolly of Sheridan; four granddaughters; two grandsons; and brother, Rex Heselius of Woodbridge, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
