William L. "Jonesy" Jones, 70, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at his residence.

Born September 9, 1938 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Clarence and Susie (Smith) Jones, he attended schools in Sheridan and worked at Title Abstract.

His favorite pastimes were cowboying, snowmobiling, and riding with the Shrine Horse Patrol. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, and Jesters.

William was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by longtime companion Marna Owens, daughters Becky and Vickie, and son Danny, sister Judy Volmer, special friend Amy Owens, one niece and three nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be planned at a later date. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
