SHERIDAN-Memorial services for Sheridan resident Marvin L. Verley, 64, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan by Dr. Karl Hunt.  Cremation has taken place.

He died Jan. 26, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

He was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Billings, Mont., the son of Vern and Edna (Thayer) Verley.  In 1957, he graduated from Sheridan High School.

On March 25, 1960, he married Sue Compton at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan.

In June, 1976, he started Circle S Sanitation rural garbage collection service with his sons and remained technical advisor until his death.

He worked for the city of Sheridan for 37 years, retiring in May 1997 because of poor health.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed woodworking, growing African violets and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, daughter, Christy Verley, and two sons, Randy and Allen Verley, all of Sheridan; and four brothers, James L Verley and his wife, Fredrick L. Verley and his wife and Calvin L. Verley, all of Sheridan, and Herbert L. "Rex" Verley and his wife of Alpine Junction.
