John J. Shork, 48, of Springfield died at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday,June 15, 1988, in Springfield.

He was born Feb. 26, 1940, in Sheridan, Wyo., the son of John J. and Margaret B. Schilling Shork.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1968.

A resident of Springfield for 20 years, Mr. Shork was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Margaret B. Shork of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Howard (Muffet) Chatterton of Bowie, Md.; one brother, Charles T. Shork of Dunlap; four aunts; one nephew, several nieces and cousins.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, with the Rev. Robert Jallas officiating.

Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
