Frank D. Mediate, 75, of Sheridan, Wyoming, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Mediate was born November 14, 1936 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Domenic and Rose Maria (Costanzo) Mediate. He grew up and attended schools in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1957.

Frank married Agnes Bates February 26, 1966 in Sheridan.

Mr. Mediate had the D. & F. Liquor Store in Sheridan for several years. He then worked for Panetta Brothers for 13 years before going to work for School District #2 as a custodian for 23 years, retiring in 2000.

Frank was a member of the Catholic Church, and enjoyed going to auctions, hunting and fishing, Sheridan area history, working on scrapbooks, and dinners with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lucia Voogd.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Sheridan; one son, George Mediate, (Crystal) of Sheridan; two daughters, Crista Mediate, and Carla Kurtz, (Darryl V.), both of Sheridan; Kris and Amber Powers; one brother, Jim Mediate, of Sheridan; one sister, Domenica Wilkerson, of Denver, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Frank will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with George Tellez officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Memorials in memory of Mr. Mediate may be made to the American Cancer Society, 907 N. Poplar, Suite 185, Casper, WY, 82601.
