Cremation has taken place for lifelong Sheridan resident Shirley Holwell. No services were announced.

Mrs. Holwell, 68, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1938, to Cristoff and Amelia (Leis) Deutsch. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1957.

She married Clifford Holwell on May 17, 1957, and raised two sons.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and spent time with family and friends, in the mountains and in her garden.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Curtis Holwell of Castle Rock, Colo., and David Holwell of Gillette; two brothers, Herb Deutsch of Livingston, Mont., and Chris Deutsch of Sheridan; a sister, Lillian Sadler of Sheridan; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Holwell’s name in care of Kane Funeral Home.
