Harold Earl Brantz, 74, of Sheridan passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at his residence.

Harold was born on April 25, 1938 in Sheridan, WY to parents Paul and Mahelia (Parot) Brantz. He married Patricia Bocek on January 26, 1958 at the Parsonage of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheridan, WY. He worked for Bondi Brothers Grocery and retired with Coca Cola after 35 years.

Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with Pat, camping, spending time with the kids and grandkids, picking on his son in laws and grandkids. The granddaughters called him Papa and his nieces and nephews called him Uncle Hurly. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and took great pride in serving as Head Usher.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Andy, Eddy and Paul Brantz.

He is survived by his wife Pat, children; Harold Paul Brantz, Janet (Fred) Cherni, Sandy (John) Kassen all of Sheridan, Bonnie (Rick) Flanagan of Laurel, MT and Jerry (Trecia) Brantz of Osburn, IA, a brother, Walter (Kitty) Brantz of Cody, WY and grandchildren; Zachary, Audrey, Quade, Jake, Sierra, Logan, Alycia, Jeffrey, D.J, Jill, Alisa, Adam, Liz, Rachel, Freddie, Dwight and Rod along with his great-grandchildren; Mataya, Braelynn, Austin and Addison.

A Visitation for Harold will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Paul J Cain officiating. Services for Harold will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul J Cain officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall.

Interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow in the church Fellowship Hall.

Memorials to honor Harold may be made to the Martin Luther Grammar School at 1300 W. 5th St., Sheridan, WY 82801.
