Karen Olline BAKER Lenz 1939 - 1989 SHS 1957

SHERIDAN. Wyo. - Karen Olline Lenz worked for First National Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1982.

She loved music and played the piano. She also played the church organ at Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League and was a past president of the Sheridan Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Mrs. Lenz, 50, died Wednesday in Sheridan County Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A daughter of Wayne E. and Lois Williams Baker, she was born and educated in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School.

On Aug. 2, 1959, she married Richard L Lenz Sr. in Sheridan.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Tim and Rick, both of Sheridan; two daughters, Nancy Middendorf of Olathe, Kan., and Debra St. Pierre of Rapid City, S.D.; her mother and stepfather, Lois and Joe Rogers of Sheridan; her grandmother, Alice Williams of Sheridan; a brother, Ronald E. Baker of Pasco, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Donna) Deming of Cody and Mrs. William (Margo) Johnson of Sheridan; three stepsisters, Mrs. Joe (Dee) Clark of Bennett, Colo., Mrs. Don (Gay) Thrush of Billings and Mrs. Charles (Cheryl) Swarm of Torrington; a stepbrother, Darrell L. Rogers of Gillette; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
