Douglas Roy ARBOGAST 1938 - 2104 SHS 1957

Douglas Roy Arbogast passed away on April 15, 2014, at his home in Florida after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Sheridan, Wyoming, Nov. 6, 1938, he graduated from Sheridan High School, served in the Armed Forces and attended Sheridan College.

He became a police officer for the Sheridan Police Department and served for 24 years retiring as a Lieutenant.

He was a member of the Sheridan Elks Lodge, serving as Exalted Ruler in 1979-1980. He was also a member of Scottish Rite, Big Horn Mountain Masonic Lodge #43, and the Kalif Shrine since 1980.

Doug is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Carol Davis of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Jean Arbogast of Pensacola, Florida; three step-children, Scott Embree II, Michael Embree, Kristen Kinard; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton and Clinton Arbogast; one sister, Colleen Smith, and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Craig, and sister Jeannetta.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life honoring Doug will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Sheridan Elks Lodge at 2:30 p.m.
