Colleen Rae Rolston, 83, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Colleen was born in 1938 to Ted and Frances Larson in Holdridge, Nebraska and moved to Sheridan when she was five. After graduating from Sheridan High School Colleen attended the University of Wyoming where she studied secretarial sciences. While attending the University, Colleen married fellow Sheridan resident Bob Rolston and a year later they welcomed the first of their three children, Christi, to the family. Four years later, Jeff arrived followed by Mary almost exactly one year after.

In 1966, the family settled in Laramie where Colleen returned to the University and received her bachelor’s degree in education, got her teaching credential and followed in her mother’s footsteps becoming a great teacher.

The family moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1973 where they lived for three years before venturing out west and landing in San Mateo, California. Colleen moved from a career in education to the corporate world, eventually ending up as a project manager. In 1984 Colleen and Bob returned to Colorado and settled in Centennial where she continued as a project manager for multinational telecommunications company. Colleen and Bob remained in Centennial until 2005, when they decided to return to Sheridan where their life together began.
