James (Jim) was born in Sheridan, WY on August 16, 1937 to his parents Clarke and Georgia. He had three brothers; "Bus" Clarke, Don and Mike. He also had a sister, Carole Anne. He attended Sheridan Grade School and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1956.

Following in his two older brother's shoes, he joined the Navy and became a radioman for four years.

He worked for the FAA as an air traffic Controller for 40 years in Longmont and Oklahoma City.

He was an avid Denver Bronco fan and enjoyed all sports.

He dedicated his life to his family and many friends.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marilyn and three children; Allana and Mark Gray, Sheri Edwards and Brian, Darren and Elizabeth Thomsen.

He was a member of the American Legion in Sheridan, WY. And played drums in the Legion Drum and Bugle Corp.

Services will be Sunday Oct. 13 at 1pm at the American Legion in Longmont.
