Patrica BENTLEY Fox Drake 1938 - 2024 SHS 1956

Patricia Bentley Fox Drake, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Sheridan, WY with her loving family by her side.

Pat was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on October 13, 1938, to Jackson and Louise (Huelsman) Bentley. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1956 and the University of Wyoming in 1959, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in Worland Wyoming, then Laramie, and finally in Sheridan, where she taught at Coffeen School until she retired in 1999.

Pat married her high school sweetheart, Dean Fox. They met on a blind date in 1958 and spent many years running the Fox Dairy Farm. Dean passed away in 1998. Pat later married Richard Drake of Cheyenne in 2022. Pat traded the dairy life for the life of a registered Hereford cattle Ranch. Dick passed away in 2021.

Pat created a large and blended family and is survived by her three children: Christine Hilliard (Jeff), Kevin Fox (Dixie), and Janet Peyrot (John), her two stepchildren: Kent Drake (Laura), and Joylyn Ciz (John), her eight grandchildren: Carissa Hilliard, Zachary Hilliard, Griffin Hilliard (Cassie), Ashley Fox, Brayton Fox, Cole Peyrot, Jacy Peyrot. Also, by her three step grandchildren: Lucas Drake, Kolby Drake, and Jaycilou Ciz, her brother: Jack Bentley (Margaret), and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jackson and Louise Bentley, her husband’s Dean Fox, and Richard Drake, and her sister Barbara Pisaneschi.

Pat loved flowers, entertaining, dancing, traveling, and family get-togethers. She enjoyed her coffee group at Perkins. She was a member of PEO Chapter T, Daughters of the Nile. She was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi and NEA.

A Viewing will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, Tues. March 12, 2024, at the Sheridan Funeral Home, 1423 O’Dell Court, Sheridan, WY.

Funeral Services are at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with Reverend Mike Evers officiating, followed by the interment in the Elk’s Cemetery. A reception will be at the church fellowship hall after the burial.
