Sally Lou YOCUM Gillenwater 1937 - 2012 SHS 1955

Sally Lou Gillenwater passed away December 4th, 2012 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital after a short battle with cancer.

Sally Lou Gillenwater was born to Mary & Charles Yocum October 9th, 1937 in Lewisburg PA. Sally moved to Sheridan, Wyoming when she was 12 years old.

On October 8th, 1955 Sally married Ted Gillenwater sharing 57 wonderful years together. Together they had three children; Bobby, Kay and Scott.

Sally worked at First National Bank of Sheridan for over 30 years. She then was a co-owner of Louann's Hallmark and worked at Golden Crown Hallmark.

Sally enjoyed spending time with family and arranging parties to celebrate with her family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, decorating for holiday's, dancing with Ted, reading, cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events, rooting for the Rockies, taking naps with her granddogs and kissing up on her great granddaughter. As a big part of the Sheridan High School class of 55 she has enjoyed many reunions with her classmates.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, infant son Bobby, and dear friend Carole Ann Tucker.

Survivors include: Ted Gillenwater (husband), Kay and Steve Roush (daughter and son in law), Scott and Denise Gillenwater (son and daughter in law), Stephanie Roush (granddaughter), Stacy, Jess and Grace Holmgren (granddaughter, grandson in law, and great granddaughter), Tony Gillenwater (grandson), Justin Gillenwater (grandson), Sean Gillenwater (grandson), Taffany Hansen (step granddaughter), Harlan and Sharon Rasmussen (Brother and Sister in law) and Dixie Babilla (Sister in law) numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 8th, 2012 at the Bethesda Church. A reception to follow at the downstairs of Elk's Lodge.
