Clifford C. Wiberg Jr., 71, of Sheridan died Sunday,Aug. 31, 2008, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, according to his family.

Cremation has taken place.

Graveside services with military honors will be 11 a.m. Friday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Stolcis officiating. A reception will follow at Holy Name Parish Hall.

Born Feb. 2, 1937, in Sheridan to Clifford and Catherine Cunningham Wiberg, he graduated from Holy Name School and Sheridan High School.

In 1955 he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1958.

He spent a number of the following years in veterans hospitals.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Alicia Russell.

Survivors include a son, James Steven Wiberg; and 12 siblings, Arland Wiberg, Sylvia Sadler, Carol DePoorter, Catherine Joan Anich, Regina Reese, Doretta Dunham, Monica Shockey, Bridget LaMotte, Christopher Wiberg, Nelia May Voogd, Richard Wiberg and Mary Geertz.
