OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - June 14 2005

SHERIDAN -- Memorial services for Sheridan resident Kent A. Moore, 67, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Champion-Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan by the Rev. Kevin Jones.

At his request, cremation has taken place.

He died June 12, 2005, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 14, 1937, in Sheridan, he was the son of Ruby Nell (Hamer) and Kenneth S. Moore; was raised and educated there; and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1955. He attended Omaha University for four years and had been a member of Wyoming National Guard.

He was a licensed water-treatment plant operator and had worked for Sheridan Water Treatment Facility. Also, he raised cattle and mined for monazite, a rare earth metal.

He loved local and Western history and enjoyed cattle, mining, and flowers.

Survivors include his brother, Kerry Moore of Northglenn, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
