Betty Miller passed away May 7, 2004, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on February 19, 1937, to Victor and Gladys Miller in Sheridan, WY. She graduated from the 8th grade at Wakeley School and attended Sheridan High School, graduating in 1955.

She worked at Montgomery Ward as a bookkeeper until she married Jack Sipe Sr. on May 5, 1956. Two children were born of this union, Jack Jr. and Deena Ree. Jack and Betty later divorced in 1971.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved grandson, Travis; a sister, Dorrie Dodd and brothers, CR "Sam" Miller and Jim Miller.

She is survived by her beloved children , son "HW" "Jack" Sipe Jr. and his wife Eileen; and daughter, Deena Ree Bates and her husband, Reuben; 3 step-grandsons, Joe Mueller, Chad Bates and Matt Bates; two step-granddaughters, Sarah Bennett and Cody Bates; 4 step-great-granddaughters, Joely and Sage Miller and Ashley and Alexis Bates; 1 step-great-grandson, Tyler Bennett; a step-great-grandchild due in October; her sister Irma Salstrom of Sheridan; her three brothers, Victor Miller and Bill Miller both of Sheridan and Bob Miller of Casper WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 12 from 8am - 4pm at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 13 with Pastors Ronald Nelson and Wilbur Holz co-officiating. Internment will be in the Miller family plot at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Kane Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.

Memorials in Betty's name can be made to the Sheridan Animal Shelter.
