SHERIDAN -- Funeral services for Sheridan resident Barbara Ann Schaffer, 69, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheridan by the Rev. William Heine. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died Dec. 14, 2004, at her home.

Born July 13, 1935, in Sheridan, she was the daughter of Fred and Bernice (Gosch) Kinter; was raised and educated there; and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1955.

On Feb. 15, 1959, she married Elmer Schaffer in Sheridan.

She was a homemaker and mother before going to work for J.C. Penney in Sheridan. She retired in 1995.

A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, mother, son, Robert L. Schaffer, and daughter, Kim Wagner, all of Sheridan; two brothers, Christian and Alfred Kinter; eight sisters, Bernice, Norma, Evelyn, Georgia Kay, Anna, Peggy, Judy and Karen; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.
