Wyona (Marie) Dockter, 75, of Thermopolis, Wyoming passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper after an extended illness.

She was born April 13, 1936, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Woodrow and Geraldine Garretson.

On March 6, 1961 she married Vern Dockter and lived in a variety of places throughout their 50 years of marriage including: Douglas, Gardiner, MT, Riverton, Cheyenne, Lucerne Valley, CA, Las Vegas and Montrose, CO. They retired in 1994 in Thermopolis to be near family and friends.

Marie’s interests included tending her beautiful yard, enjoying the local hot springs, being active in her church, shopping, watching bull riding, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Vern Dockter of Thermopolis, children; Ronda and Ken Hahn, David Dockter, Brett and Carol Dockter, and Jerry and Brenda Batzloff, siblings; Llyod and Toni Garretson and Jerrie Ann Royal. 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest child, Debra Batzloff.

Services were held Saturday, October 15, 2011 10:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church Thermopolis, WY.

A memorial service will be held in Marie’s Memory on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 288 US Highway 20 S, Thermopolis, WY 82443.
