SHERIDAN -- Funeral services for Madonna Boley-Keyser, 69, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 11, 2006, at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor William Heine officiating. A private family graveside service will be conducted in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery on Monday.

She died peacefully on Nov. 7, 2006, at Sheridan Manor.

She was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Gering, Neb., to Elsie (Hoffman) and Vincent Boley.

She was active in 4-H and graduated with honors from Sheridan High School in 1955. She then attended the University of Wyoming where she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in elementary education.

She was an active member of Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Beta Kappa and Chi Omega.

While at UW, she met Larry W. Keyser and they were married on Aug. 31, 1958.

They moved to Houston in 1962, where he worked for NASA and she worked as a teacher and homemaker. They later divorced.

She was active in her churches, enjoyed traveling, sewing and working with children. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristi Goldston and her husband; her son, Kerry 'Kent" Keyser and his wife; her sister, Nadine Gorski; her brother, Neil Boley; five grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Veronica Alden and Vicky Orseth.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in her name to the Sheridan Senior Center, 211 Smith St., Sheridan, 82801.

Kane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
