SHERIDAN -- Funeral services for Shirley DeCastro, 70, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Kane Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter James Mwaura officiating.

She died April 9, 2006 at Sheridan Manor.

Born in Sheridan on Dec. 18, 1935, she was the daughter of Walt and Rena (Benbrooks) Wolfe.

On July 20, 1957 she married Bill DeCastro and the two later divorced. She worked in the banking industry from 1957 until her retirement.

Her hobbies included gardening and traveling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and could often be found taking walks with her two Dachshunds at her heels. She enjoyed life.

Survivors include her two daughters, Terri Luitjens of Sheridan and Vickie Culver of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Lee West of Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
