Robert Dean BREWER 1935 - 2011 SHS 1954
;

Robert Dean Brewer, 75, went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2011, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan following a long battle with cancer and the ravages of chemotherapy and radiation.

Robert was born n December 29, 1935 in Alexandria, IN to Ralph E. And Mary L (Pherson) Brewer. He attended elementary schools in Indiana, and Sheridan High School.

After high school he served in the U.S. Army with the Medical Helicopter Squadron, in Texas and Germany. Following his Army years he worked in various hospitals as a Inhalation Therapist and then as a Medical Equipment Specialist. Bob retired and moved back to Sheridan to be close to his family.

Bob was an accomplished artist, and avid fly fisherman, a terrific golfer, making his first Hole-In-One on April 21, 1975. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fly tying, and doing art work. When he got so ill that he couldn’t paint anymore, he enjoyed watching the birds feeding outside his window.

He was married and divorced twice, which resulted in two sons. Robbie, and Joey Brewer of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wives, his parents, step-mother, and a nephew.

He is survived by his sons, Brothers; Jon (Linda) Brewer , Gene Brewer all of Sheridan, WY., Ralph E. Brewer Jr (Maggie) of Sun City West, AZ., Steve (Pattie) Brewer of Mooresville, IN and Larry Dean (Myra) Brewer of Bakersfield, CA., also sisters; Doris Ketcham formerly of Sheridan, now of Evergreen, CO, Debbie (Rick) Joslin and Charlotte (Gordon) Fuller all of Anderson, IN. Along with four grandchildren, and several Aunts, Uncles Nephews and Nieces.

Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob was always cheerful and a joker. Even through all his health issues he had a fierce determination to face and overcome the many obstacles that he encountered in his lifetime. He faced death with the same determination knowing he would never get well. But the Lord gave him extra time even years to enjoy what was special to him.

Services for Bob will be on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Kane Funeral Home at 10:00 am with Pastor Bob Logan officiating.

Special thanks for Memorial Hospital of Sheridan Staff for all the wonderful compassion and care you gave Robert and Doctors, Gould, Jost, Hunter, Mangus, and Gilbert and to Home Health Care.
