OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - September 22 2004

SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Byron "Bud" Wilbur Lindstrom, 70, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 22, at Kane Funeral Home with the Sheridan Elk Lodge No. 520 officiating. A reception will follow at the Elk Lodge No. 520 in Sheridan.

He died Sept. 19, 2004, at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital.

A native of Sheridan, he was born Sept. 24, 1933, to Walter and Irene Mills Lindstrom. He played football for the Sheridan Broncs from 1950-53 and at the University of Wyoming from 1954-55. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59.

He worked for Peter Kiewit construction and as a heavy equipment operator at Decker and Big Horn coal mines.

He was a member of the Elk Lodge #520 and the American Legion.

Survivors include three daughters, Melanie Neuman of Sheridan, Jean Lindstrom of Catawba, N.C., and Joan Lindstrom of Rapid City, S.D.; six grandchildren; and a long-time friend, Sandy Merrill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Walt Lindstrom; and two sisters, Irene Harzke and Lucille Lindstrom.
