Sheridan-native Earl M. “Bud” Lewis, 73, of Westminister, Colo., died March 14, 2008, in St. Anthony’s Central Hospital in Denver after a long illness.

Services were in St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Westminister.

Burial was in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver with military honors by the U.S. Army.

Mr. Lewis grew up in Sheridan. He was a graduate of Holy Name and Sheridan High schools.

He served with the Army on the Panama Canal during the Korean War.

He worked 40 years as an engineer with Gates Rubber Co. of Denver.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four children; a sister, Lynn Baccari of Sheridan; and seven grandchildren.
