Bill HOTT 1934 - 2013 SHS 1953

Bill Hott, 79, died Friday, November 15, 2013.

He was born June 4, 1934, in Gillette, Wyoming to Guy and Nettie (Plaster) Hott. The family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where he graduated from Sheridan High School and then attended Denver University on a basketball scholarship.

He served in the Army for two years before starting his career with State Farm Insurance as an adjuster, an agent, and agency manager. As an agency manager, Bill served fourteen agents in eastern Colorado, while living in Fort Morgan. Bill and Jody moved back to Greeley after he retired from State Farm.

Bill loved interacting with his family; kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Bill loved the game of golf, and joined the Hole-In-One Club. He also had a great interest in cars, owning about fifty throughout his life and he was an avid Broncos fan. As his health declined, he loved to watch westerns and spend time with family and friends and had a positive attitude to the end.

Bill is survived by his wife Jody of forty eight years, three sons Hal (Kellie) Hott, Mark (Cristy) Hott, and David (Leslie) Fowler, three daughters Kathy (Rick) Moore, Kimberly Gilbert, and Kelly Lundstrom. He was blessed with 20 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, who all lived nearby. He is also survived by several cousins in Wyoming.

Our special thanks go out to Home-Instead; Cheryl, Beth, Ola, and Shane. Also, our heart given thanks to Grace Pointe for their loving care and support in his last days.
