Barbara BORDEAUX Day 1935 - 2018 SHS 1953

Barbara Bordeaux Day was born January 22, 1935 in Sheridan, Wyoming the 12th child of John and Anna Bordeaux. She was baptized and received her first Holy Communion in Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan. She attended Holy Name Catholic School through the eighth grade. She graduated from Sheridan High School in May of 1953. She was married to Samuel Day in April of 1953, a marriage that lasted 65 years until her death. From that marriage came 3 children, Stephen, Mark, and Kristi.

When Sam received the call to become a preacher, Barbara joined the United Methodist Church. After Sam's seminary education, they served United Methodist Churches in Lovell-Deaver, Wyoming; Aspen, Colorado; Durango, Colorado; Casper, Wyoming;Grand Junction, Colorado; Denver, Colorado and Fort Collins, Colorado

After retiring, they moved to Green Valley, Arizona where they lived for 18 years spending summers at cabins in Estes Park, Colorado; Show Low Arizona; Valley Escondido, New Mexico and Prescott, Arizona.

After a six-year battle with Alzheimer's, Barbara died on November 1, 2018.

She is survived by her husband , Sam; son Stephen and wife, Cheri; son, Mark and wife, Gwyn; daughter Kristi and husband, Kurt ; granddaughters, Monica and Samantha, and grandson, Mitch and wife, Liz; and 7 great grandchildren.

Burial will be at a later date in Sheridan, Wyoming.
