Charlotte Ekwall, 71, Sheridan, died March 28, 2007, at Sheridan Manor. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are 1 p.m. April 28 at Big Horn Mountain Eagles.

Born April 25, 1935, in Wheatland to Charles E. and Marjorie E. (Ankney) Bergman, she married Roy Ekwall on June 30, 1959, in Rapid City.

Mrs. Ekwall was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo and collecting spoons, magnets and other knickknacks. She belonged to Big Horn Mountain Eagles Aerie 4169 Auxiliary for 19 years, serving as trustee for 12 years. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 42 for 33 years and VFW Auxiliary Post 1560 for 29 years.

She volunteered at the Catholic Church Thrift Shop for a number of years and also at VFW bingo. She was an election judge for many years.

Survivors include her husband; six children, Rose Cita Heaton of Hubert, Utah, Duane and Michael Ekwall, both of Sheridan, Robert Ekwall of Rock Springs, Steve Ekwall of Manhattan, Kan., and Kathryn Ekwall of Minneapolis; four brothers; a sister; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may benefit donor's choice, Welch Cancer Center, or Dialysis Clinic in care of Kane Funeral Home.
