Former Sheridan resident beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Janet Mae Lawrence formerly Janet Mae Schmidt, formerly Janet Mae Ralph went to join our lord on July 14, 2009. She was 76 years of age.

She had been a resident of Brookside Healthcare in Redlands, CA. and was born the daughter of Richard W Ralph and Lynette M Hoiten both of Sheridan Wyoming on May 13, 1933. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1952 and worked at different secretarial jobs most of her life.

She had previously lived in Apple Valley CA for the past 52 years after she had relocated there in 1957 from Sheridan Wyoming.

She had one brother Richard J. Ralph (Uncle Bus) who preceded her in death with who she was very close.

She is survived by one son, Ricky Schmidt and his wife Carolyn; three grandchildren, Robert A Schmidt of Las Vegas NV, Matthew J Schmidt and his wife Jennifer and their two children, Mattison and Katie Jo also of Las Vegas NV; Mary Marcelo and her three children Gabrielle Hanson, Aurora Marcelo and Christopher Marcelo of Colorado Springs CO.

Janet will always be remembered for her kind heart and love for her family and friends. She had a wonderful laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved Country music, dancing, cooking and made the best fried chicken. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A tribute to her life is planned to be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 31 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road in Apple Valley CA. 92307.
