Chico, California: Memorial services for Margaret Ann “Maggie” Kriz will be held at a later date. She died unexpectedly at her daughter’s home October 31, 2006.

Maggie was born January 30, 1935 in Kearney, NE to Dale and Margaret Kriz and moved to Wyoming as a child. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1952 and from Sheridan Junior College with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1980. While attending, she was awarded the Presidents Cup, Humanities Award and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Maggie was the Sheridan College Sabre Artist and, in the Volume XXII 1979-80, she sketched the administrative faculty and staff. Maggie also attended the University of Wyoming majoring in Fine Arts.

Maggie loved gardening, painting, carving and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Tracey Cannon and her husband Jeff of Chico, California, Kelly Powers of Mead, Washington and Paige Newhouse, of Big Lake, Alaska; three sons, Michael Shadoan, Bruce Shadoan, and Raymond Shadoan all of Chico, California; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Waggoner of Buffalo WY, and brother, Robert Kriz and his wife Jeannette of Donna, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Newhouse, her parents, and her sister, Barbara Kawulok.
