Louis GALLOWAY 1934 - 2004 SHS 1952

Louis Galloway, 70, of Sheridan died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Sheridan Wesleyan Church with Pastor Chuck Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home.

Mr. Galloway was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Wheatland to Reubin Oliver and Mary (Sturdivent) Galloway. He attended schools in Sheridan and was a 1952 graduate of Sheridan High School.

He worked briefly for the state of Wyoming before becoming an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance, where he was employed for 35 years. He retired as a claim adjuster in 1994.

He spent most of his life in the Story/Sheridan area. After retiring from Farm Bureau, he spent four summers in the Rapid Creek Cattle Allotment as rider for the Connell and Gerber ranches.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and packing in the Big Horn Mountains.

He was a member of Sheridan Wesleyan Church, the Wyoming Historical Society, Sheridan Masonic Lodge No. 8, Alcoholics Anonymous and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; three sons, Louis Edward, Chris and Joe; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Wesleyan Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
