OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - October 3, 2001

SHERIDAN --  Memorial services for former Sheridan resident Florence (Belus) Smith, 67, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Kane Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Stolcis officiating.  Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died Sept. 17, 2001, at St Joseph's Hospital in Orange, Calif.

She was born Dec. 21, 1933, in Sheridan, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Kobielusz) Belus.  She completed high school and earned a master degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix.

While raising four children, she worked as a registered nurse.

She enjoyed traveling and the arts, loved roses, and collected paperweightrs.

Survivors include her mother of Sheridan; two sons and their wives, Michael Smith of Silverado Canyon, Calif., and Omar Smith of Phoenix; two daughters, Theresa "Terri" Roberts of Santa Ana, Calif., and Denise Stenzel and her husband of Bozeman, Mont.; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and two brothers, James Belus and his wife of Sheridan and Robert Belus of Banner.

She was preceded in death by her father.
