OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - September 12 2005

GILLETTE -- A celebration of life for Carliene Kathryn Georgen, 73, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Derryberry officiating.

Cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

She died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Billings from complications of diabetes.

Born June 13, 1932, in Sheridan to Carl K. and Blanche Evelyn (Jenkins) Peters, she grew up and attended schools in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School.

After graduation, she worked at the Montgomery Ward Store as a bookkeeper for several years.

On Aug. 14, 1952, she married Kenneth Earl Georgen in Sheridan. The couple moved to Worland and then to northern California.

She returned to Sheridan where she worked at Jorgenson's Jewelry and then worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Ralph Groshart. She retired from Groshart Eye Clinic in 1997 after more than 35 years.

She was a member of the Trail End Guilds and enjoyed spending time gardening, reading and collecting antiques.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Michael Georgen of Auburn, Wash.; one daughter, Cynde Georgen of Sheridan; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
