Phyllis J. Miech Gigstad went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2011, after a long battle with illness.

She was born, October 11, 1932, and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming to Joseph Miech and Mary Krezelok Miech. She met and married Benjamin Gigstad in Billings, Montana and raised 3 daughters. Phyllis worked as a Registered Nurse for 44 years with her focus in operating room and opthamology.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother Earl Miech, her father Joseph Earl Miech, her husband Benjamin Owen Gigstad and her mother Mary Krezelok Miech.

She is survived by her daughters: Michelle Lanz and husband Bob of Magnolia, Texas; Joanne Gigstad of Alvin, Texas and Karen Keller and husband Kirk of Kingwood, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Adrienne LaFleur, Benjamin Lanz, Brianna LaFleur, Bradley Lanz, and Colleen Gigstad-Buckley; and her great-granddaughter: Stella Lanz.

A family celebration of her life was held on Saturday September 10, 2011.

Burial will be scheduled at a later date in Billings, Montana.
