Franklin Delano Hardee, 75, of Washougal,Wash., died May 31, 2008, at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver,Wash., from congestive heart failure complicated by Parkinson’s disease.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas,Wash.

Mr. Hardee was born in Worland on May 26, 1933, to Ruby and Homer Hardee. He grew up in Sheridan graduating from Sheridan High School, where he was Senior Class president and active in basketball and football.

He spent two years in the Army Paratroopers. After the Army he moved to Anchorage,Alaska, where he lived for 33 years working for Wien Airlines and the state Airport Lands and Leasing department.

He married Anne Rothweiler. He retired to Washougal in 1992.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Homer “Bud” Hardee.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Lorne Hardee of Wasilla, Alaska; a daughter, Lenore Pullman of Vancouver; a brother,Merle Hardee of Gillette; two sisters, LaVonne Nelson of Sheridan and Glenda Conley of Sterling, Colo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
