OBITUARIES - THE SHERIDAN PRESS - November 6 2003 Donna Bylund Rawlings, 70, of Sheridan died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Viewing will be noon-4 p.m. Friday at Kane Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Elks section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A luncheon at the Elks Club, 45 W. Brundage, will follow the service and burial.

Mrs. Rawlings was born May 26, 1933, in Sheridan to Gothard O. and Evelyn (Ely) Bylund. She attended Taylor Elementary and Central schools and was a 1951 graduate of Sheridan High School.

She married John C. Rawlings Dec. 6, 1952.

She was employed for 30 years at First Interstate Bank and at the Perkins Foundation from 1992 until her death.

She was a majorette for the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps in the 1950s and a member of Elks Lodge No. 520 and the AARP. She enjoyed boating, waterskiing, snow machining in the Big Horn Mountains, growing African violets, gardening, canning, cooking, shopping, travel and spending time with her family. She enjoyed country music and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976 and by a sister, Jeanne Grey, in 2002.

Survivors include two daughters, Tempe Lee Rawlings of Sheridan and Rhonda Rae (Rawlings) Miller of San Antonio; a son, John Robert of Livingston, Mont.; three sisters, Jenny Rollins of Phoenix, Evelyn Greisser of Tucson, Ariz., and Mary Taliaferro of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter.
