Bettye Joan Luckemeyer, age 82, peacefully passed away at her home on November 7, 2014.

She was born September 6, 1932 in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Theodore and Mary Zuck. Bettye attended Sheridan area schools, and graduated in 1950. She went on to study at the University of Wyoming and graduated in 1954, with a Bachelors in Science.

She then moved to Billings, Montana where she worked at Kook Radio Station, in advertisement, and was a highly regarded employee.

She then met Eugene Luckemeyer, and they were soon married on May 1, 1965. They moved to Grand Junction, Colorado as their final home.

She loved volunteering at the Colorado Welcome Center for over 20 years, and at her church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her parents; and an infant son.

She is survived by a cousin, John Rotellini, his wife Carrie, and their children of Sheridan, Wyoming. She will be greatly missed by her caregivers, Pat Brekalo, Debra Donovan, Caitlin Osborn, Sandy Curwick, Dawn Palmer, and Sue Palmer.

Special thanks to her Eucharistic Ministers, neighbors, and friends who visited often.

A memorial service will be held November 22, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church located at 790 26 1/2 Rd., Grand Junction, Colorado 81506. A luncheon to follow at the church. A private interment will be at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction.
