Joan Margaret SORTOR Cotton 1932 -1963 SHS 1950

Mrs. Roy E Cotton age 31 was killed instantly Wednesday morning, Aug 21, 1963, by an electric shock while attempting to start a sump pump in the basement of her home on South Yellowstone Avenue.

Mrs. Cotton nee Joan Margaret Sorter was born Aug 16 1932 in New Jersey daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sortor.

She is survived by the widower; three sons, Steve, 12; Robert, 10; and John, 3; a daughter Christine, 6 months; her parents and a brother, John Sortor.

The family came to Laurel from Cody Wyo. about Jan. 1, 1963.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Jenkins Funeral Home in Sheri- dan Wyo. with Rev Washburn of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in the Sheri- dan Cemetery.

Laurel Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
