Nancy Lee Leffler, 60, of 4109 6th Ave. S., a former Wyoming resident, died of cancer Thursday at a local hospital. No services will be held, at her request.

Memorials are suggested to any public library for the purchase of books or to an animal protection society.

She was born July 22, 1932, in Belleville, Il. As an infant, she moved with her family to a homestead near Buffalo, Wyo. She later moved to Sheridan, Wyo., and attended elementary schools in Forsyth and Glendive. She graduated from high school in 1950 in Sheridan.

For six years she worked for Mountain State Telephone and Telegraph.

On Jan. 21, 1956, she married Charles Larry Leffler in Billings. They lived in Anaconda, Thompson Falls and Lewistown and moved to Great Falls in 1980.

She worked as a receptionist at United Savings Bank from 1982 to 1990 when she retired because of poor health.

Her hobbies included gardening and knitting, and she was an accomplished seamstress.

She is survived by her husband of Great Falls; a daughter, Patricia Shults of Clinton, Wash.; her father, Willie R. Penland of Riverside, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
