Nancy Jean Favero, 83, of Sheridan, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 27, 1932 in Sheridan, WY to Jesse Marques and Anna Elizabeth (Hoffman) Ekis. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1950.

She married Benjamin John Favero on February 28, 1954. She and Ben enjoyed spending time at their trailer in the Big Horn Mountains at Blue Spruce. Nancy loved bowling and fishing. She participated in bowling leagues and also, belonged to the Elks Club.

In her early years, Nancy worked for the railroad for a short time and then went to work for Capitol Drug for several years. She was also, an Avon representative for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred Chase, Ed Ekis and Bernard Ekis; and a sister, Lillian Keahey.

Nancy is survived by her nephews: Bruce (Karon) Keahey and Larry Ekis of Sheridan, WY; Eddie Ekis of Sun City, AZ; and George (Esther) Mathews of Sheridan, WY; nieces: Cheryle (Merl) Haworth of Fort Collins, CO; and Diana (Bill) Johnson of Casper, WY; sisters-in-law: Terry Spomer and Charlotte Chase both of Sheridan, WY; and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Champion Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Champion Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Elks Cemetery. A reception will be held after the interment at Champion Funeral Home.
