Joseph Edward CRACKENBERGER 1932 – 1991 SHS 1950

SHERIDAN -- Services for Joseph Edward Crackenberger, 59, will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home by Elks Lodge No. 520 with burial in the Elks Cemetery.

Mr. Crackenberger died July 30. 1991, at the Sheridan County Memorial Hospital following a heart attack.

He was born July 6, 1 932, in Sheridan, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Salveson) Crackenberger. He grew up in Birney, Mont., and moved to Ulm, Wyo., in 1946. Mr. Crackenberger joined the Air Force in 1951.

He worked for Ernst Saddlery, Husman Brothers Construction Company, and owned his own saddle - shop for several years.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 520 and the American Legion.

Survivors include one son, Joseph R. Crackenberger of Salem, Ore.; one stepson. Curt Fox of Salem; one sister, Garna Selig of Sheridan; two brothers, Curtis Crackenberger of Billings, Mont., and Keith Crackenberger of Sheridan; a companion, Patty Asmussen; and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers or memorials to the Elks Cemetery Fund may be made in care of Mary Lee Corley, First Interstate Bank, Sheridan, Wyo., would be appreciated by the family.
