Cremation will have taken place in Vase White Mountain Crematory in Rock Springs.

He died Nov. 11, 2004, at his home, following an illness of three years.

Born May 31, 1931, in Sheridan, he was the son of Velma and John Brandt; was raised and educated there; and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1950.

On June 2, 1962, he married Alma Maninfoir in Sheridan.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

A manager at Sears for 33 years, he was a district manager in Fort Collins, Colo., for five years before coming to Rock Springs in 1985.

He was an avid sports fan, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, son, Joe Brandt, and his wife, and daughter, Anne McMartin, and her husband, all of Rock Springs; brother, Keith Brandt of Sheridan; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Darold Brandt.
