Richard “Jim” Bordeaux, 76, of Sheridan died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Kane Funeral Home. Interment of cremains with military honors will follow in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Born Sept. 29, 1931 in Sheridan to John and Anne Bordeaux, he graduated in 1950 from Sheridan High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy the same year. He served until his honorable discharge in 1954.

He married Dee Heil in Sheridan on Aug. 13, 1955.

He was a partner in C&B Paint until his retirement in 1997.

Mr. Bordeaux loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alex, Frank, Jack and Bud; and three sisters, Edna, Dorothy and Ruth.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Sue Bordeaux Conrad of Phoenix; a brother,Walter Bordeaux of California; two sisters, Barbara Day of Arizona and Margaret Pearson of Washington state; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may benefit Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter, 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan WY 82801, or Hospice of the Big Horns, 1401 W. Fifth St., Sheridan.
